Fragrances:

Belladonna

The Atropa belladonna plant can kill with its toxicity and the sweet, subtly floral belladonna note used in fragrances today is generally synthetic. With a nickname like “”deadly nightshade”” ( How boss is that?) Erin was inspired to give this fragrance the proper aura of magic, dark mystery, and allure that the plant deserves. She wanted this fragrance to be rich, deep, intense, and intoxicating. Top Notes are Saffron, Sweet Honey, and Bright Florals and then it morphs into Apricot Infused Incense Laden Smoke. This complex scent brings a pleasing, comforting, yet upscale character wherever it’s used. Dare she says it is: “”Dead Sexy.””

Cherry Laurel

This dangerous little beauty is one of the origins of cyanide. She knows, right? Sick. I wanted a fragrance just as naughty and mysterious. Erin chose a whisper of Bulgarian Rose and Japanese Cherry Blossoms and a large dollop of Creamy French Custard.

Datura

Datura is also known as devil’s trumpets, moonflower, devil’s weed, and, Erin’s all -time favorite, Hell’s Bells. All species of Datura are poisonous and potentially psychoactive, especially their seeds and flowers, which can cause fever, delirium, hallucinations, psychosis, and even death if taken internally. So lethal – it’s crazy. Erin really wanted to capture that vibe so she went with a subtle blend of Floral Scents, Iris, Mandarin Orange Blossom, and Sandalwood.

Foxglove

Digitalis purpurea, or foxglove, is a flowering plant known for being the original source of the heart medicine Digoxin (also called Digitalis). It inspired Erin to create a rich, deep fragrance that goes straight to the heart. It’s totally killer. Seductive and ancient, this exotic blend of Spices, Fruit, and Amber is warmed by notes of Honey.

Hemlock

Erin was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates when he said, “…I drank what?” Exceptionally toxic, Hemlock has a bad reputation. Haters gonna hate so she chose something light and springy to offset the murderous past. Black Orchid is featured prominently. Erin paired it with a sensual blend of Grapefruit, Lavender, Water Lilies, and Star Jasmine.

Henbane

Hyoscyamus niger, commonly known as henbane, black henbane, or stinking nightshade, is a plant that is poisonous in large quantities. It was primarily used in ancient times as a powerful hallucinogen. It inspired Erin to make this enchanting fragrance. Top Notes are Mimosa, Melon, Freesia, Mandarin Orange, and Watermelon; Middle Notes are Narcissus, Carnation, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine, Lotus, Lily-of-the-Valley, and Peony; Base Notes are Exotic Sandalwood and a gossipy secret’s worth of Black Vanilla.

Mugwort & Wormwood

Inspired by Absinthe, Erin’s Mugwort and Wormwood fragrance is an aromatic blend of just the right combination of Star Anise, Fennel, Spicy Cinnamon Cassia, and Nutmeg. Middle Notes are Fresh Green Herbal notes, with Base Notes of Amber and Smoked Campfire Wood. Absinthe, also referred to as “”The Green Fairy,”” is an anise-flavored, highly alcoholic beverage derived from the distillation of various herbs, including both mugwort and wormwood. (Absinthe was once banned around the world because it was portrayed as a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug that produced hallucinations, but this vilification of the liquor was never verified).

Pennyroyal

Pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium) is a stimulating plant from the mint family that is associated with purification and cleansing. Pennyroyal inspired Erin to create a fragrance that is as intensely herbaceous as Pennyroyal itself. Have migraines? The Fresh Mint and Rosemary in this candle will soothe you.

Wolfsbane

Wolfsbane (Aconitum lycoctonum) is extremely poisonous. The Greek name lycoctonum translates literally to “”wolf’s bane.”” Rumor has it that it repels werewolves. Use liberally if you have an infestation of such. It is also known as monkshood, devil’s helmet, and Queen of Poisons. A femme fatale in her own right, this dangerous lovely inspired this fragrance. Erin loves Black and Red Currants, Blackberry – so she paired these bright berries with a very Earthy Cedarwood.
